NEET Application Process — Step by Step

NTA opens the online registration portal typically in December–January before the May exam.

Registration on NTA Portal

~10 minutes

Visit nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic.in. Create a new account with a valid mobile number and email ID. Note your Application Number.

Fill Application Form

~30 minutes

Enter personal details, academic details, and choice of exam city. Double-check all information — corrections are only allowed in a limited window.

Upload Documents

~15 minutes

Upload scanned copy of passport-size photo (10–200 KB), signature (4–30 KB), Class 10 certificate, and Category certificate (if applicable).

Pay Application Fee

5 minutes

General: ₹1,700 | General-EWS/OBC-NCL: ₹1,600 | SC/ST/PwD: ₹1,000. Payment via credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.

Download Confirmation Page

2 minutes

Save and print the confirmation page after successful fee payment. This is your proof of application.

Download Admit Card

Day of release

NTA releases admit cards ~2 weeks before the exam. Download from the official portal using your Application Number and date of birth.
